Jaipur, also popularly known as the 'Pink City', is the capital city of the state of Rajasthan. The city was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727 which is one of the finest planned cities of India.
The city of Jaipur and its buildings are extensively built using the red coloured stone, hence its name 'Pink City'. Jaipur has several magnificent forts and palaces, where once lived the maharajas to live a royal life. Jaipur is also famous for Rajasthani jewellery, fabric and shoes and thus becomes a paradise for shoppers.
The city has been laid according to the conventional nine-grid pattern that is believed to be lucky and recommended architecture in the ancient India. Each grid consists of a square and at the heart of the city is the famous City Palace. Apart from various forts and palaces, Jaipur has much more to offer for the visitors.

The best season to visit Jaipur for tourists is from September to March. Try to avoid visiting Jaipur in summers as the climate in Rajasthan is usually quite hot.

Jaipur is well connected to almost all the parts of the country by means of rail, road and air. From Delhi, Jaipur is just 250 Kms away.

Laxmi Narayan Temple
Albert Hall is situated inside Ram Niwas Bagh Birla and now converted in a museum, which showcases rare collection of archaeological and handicraft pieces.
It is situated just below the Moti Doongari, which is known for the intricate marble carvings in white marble.
Nahargarh Fort is situated about 600 ft. above the city and stands on the edge of the Aravalli Hills.
